Gene Weingarten has a well done analysis of why Pirro chose to risk trump's ire with her decision (and it wasn't due to bravery or principle) but he doesn't mention the Beast driving over the newly prepared surface. In fact you are one of the only people who remembers to bring that into these discussions. I cannot believe that parade of extremely heavy vehicles didn't have a negative impact on a newly painted surface. I suspect at least a tiny bit of Pirro's equation was that some of the facts "withheld" about the preparation and rushed curing included the potential for that amount of concentrated weight to have caused some damage as well; which would have implicated trump as the saboteur and led to more embarrassment than just calling off the doomed trial.

I continue to be haunted by the fact that POTUS, the AG, Pirro…all were perfectly willing to send an innocent person to prison for 10 years, based on lies, to score (they thought) political gain.

That is as scary as you know what.
